Bubble tea also known as boba tea is a delicious beverage that originated in Taiwan in the 1980s. It consists of a milk and tea mixture with tapioca pearls. This cold beverage serves as both a beverage and a snack. Although it is very popular in Taiwan, lately it has been found in the United States. Everyone that serves bubble tea has a different take on the beverage. Here are the three secrets behind the perfect bubble tea.

1. Prepare tapioca correctly
Tapioca pearls need to be boiled for 25 minutes. They should then be left in warm water and covered for 25 more minutes. Once that is complete, tapioca pearls can then be drained.

2. Sweeten tea properly
Beverage should be sweet but not overly sweet. Consider the sweetness the milk will add to the tea and add sweetener gradually.

3. Chill
The whole idea of bubble tea is a chilled beverage. It is not bubble tea slush (which can also be made) so nothing should be frozen. Chill tea and milk before adding tapioca pearls.

Overall, it is easy to make bubble tea. As long as you follow these three secrets to the perfect chilled beverage, you will make some delicious bubble tea. Make sure not to forget the thick straws.

Overcoming language barriers can be quite difficult at times. Everyone faces this challenge at some point in his or her life. Whether you are at work or out an about in the city you may have to communicate with someone who does not speak English. Luckily, there are ways to overcome language barriers. Here is how.

1. Body Language
Spoken word is not our only form of communication. When speaking to someone who does not speak the same language as you facial expressions and hand gestures can help get your point across.Never heard of this before? Get up to speed here.

2. Speak Slower
When speaking to someone whose first language was not English, speak slowly. Speaking slowly can help them understand you better and allow them to better process the information.

3. Avoid Slang
Someone who is unfamiliar with the language is definitely not going to understand slang. This just adds confusion when trying to overcome a language barrier.

4. Be patient
Overcoming a language barrier takes time. It can be frustrating when you do not understand and they do not understand what you are saying but be patient and take the time to improve communication.

5. Check Periodically for Understanding
After a few sentences or so, ask them if they understand. This can help conversation flow more smoothly.
